Colorado Fertility Advocates (CFA) welcomes anyone actively working in or passionate about the fertility and assisted reproductive technologies field to join. 
As a group, CFA approaches the fertility area as a collaborative field and believes that working together makes for a better experience for all.

Kristina Shaw

CHAIR

Kristina has cultivated a successful 20-year career in marketing, communications and strategy. Her personal and professional focus has been about providing visibility to marginalized communities, supporting equity for women and LGBTQ+ individuals, and advocating for improved access to comprehensive reproductive care.
Her 3 children were created with the use of fertility treatments and she is passionate about giving back to this community.

Judy Becerra, MS, LPCDR

Secretary

Judy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Manager of the Counseling Department and Director of the Gestational Carrier Program at Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM), Judy utilizes a holistic approach in counseling, believing in the connection of mind/body/spirit.

Ellen Trachman, ESQ.

Treasurer

Ellen founded Trachman Law Center, LLC in order to bring dedicated and compassionate legal representation to those wishing to build a family through assisted reproductive technology. Ellen is also the co-founder and Director of Colorado Surrogacy, LLC, specialized in Colorado-focused surrogacy matching and support. Originally from northern New Mexico, Ellen attended undergrad at the University of California, Berkeley, and law school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rebeckah Navitsky

Past Chair

Rebeckah has decades of experience running the Learning and Development departments for large and small organizations. Training and education is her passion and she plans to use these skills to help her community understand infertility and how to support our Colorado Families.  She is an IVF patient and wants to support others in their journey.

Alicia is a Senior Embryologist with 14 years of experience working in IVF laboratories across the country. She is also an experienced public speaker whose professional expertise and personal IVF experience inform her work. Alicia is a strong advocate for accessible and inclusive fertility care, including representation for LGBTQ+ families in paths to parenthood.

Lisa is a Certified Fertility Coach, Author, and Podcast Host of Soulful IVF. A patient support leader and community builder, Lisa is also a board-certified occupational therapist with 25 years of healthcare experience and has been supporting individuals through fertility challenges for the past 6 years. Her personal IVF journey, including navigating male factor infertility, enduring multiple setbacks, and becoming mom to her one healthy embryo, deepened her commitment to storytelling, support, and community-building within holistic wellness spaces. Dr. Bauer is a Reproductive Physician serving patients in both Lone Tree and Colorado Springs. Her clinical expertise, paired with her lived experience of undergoing IVF to build her family, has made her a strong advocate for broader access to fertility care and increased public education around treatment pathways.

Alex is a fertility law attorney with Klein Fertility Law who brings five years of experience in fertility-related legal work. Before entering this field, he led community non-profits and worked with the ACLU, where he focused on juvenile civil rights, reproductive rights and policy development.
