About pamela
Pamela Cohen Hirsch grew up in Springfield, IL, and graduated from the University of Illinois with a double major in French and Spanish. Her careers have included being
a teacher in Texas and later in Northern California. In 1985, she became owner of a branch of The Princeton Review, an educational test prep company. After the company went public in 2001, she temporarily retired but then underwent training to become a certified Pilates Instructor.
In 2011, after witnessing her daughter undergo several years of infertility treatments, Pamela established Baby Quest Foundation, a non-profit charity awarding financial help for procedures such as in vitro fertilization and gestational surrogacy.
Pamela lives in Los Angeles with her husband Myles. Their two daughters and four granddaughters also live in the Los Angeles area.
About Foundation
Baby Quest gave its first grants in March 2012. Since then, the non-profit has awarded 150 grants totaling over $2.2 million in cash and cash equivalents. There are now over 100 Baby Quest babies throughout the county. Grants are awarded twice yearly. The next deadline to apply is March 10, 2021. Baby Quest prides itself on diversity of recipients - accepting applications from heterosexual and same sex couples and singles.
The charity funds procedures such as ivf, egg and sperm donation, egg freezing, embryo donation, and gestational surrogacy. Applicants must be permanent residents of the U.S.
